Luzerne County COUNCILman

Fellow Republican Committee Member:

My name is Harry Haas, and over the past 20 years I have served you faithfully as a member of Luzerne County Council, Republican State Committee, and past member of the County Party Executive Board. I currently serve as a committee member from Kingston Borough. I am writing to ask for your consideration to be the next Luzerne County Republican Party Chairman.

I am asking for your vote because I have the temperament, experience, and character to fairly lead our party. I am the candidate who can:

--articulate conservative principles without being offensive in the style of

   Ronald Reagan;

--stand up to the insane left and still persevere like Donald Trump;

--debate and discuss all issues like Herbert Hoover;

--remain calm and exhibit self-control like Calvin Coolidge;

--rely on the faith and the forgiveness of Abraham Lincoln, who reconciled the

  country “with malice towards none and charity for all.”

I’m not running for President, but I am the one seasoned candidate who will bring the different factions of our county party together. This role of chairman is about providing leadership that will support all of our candidates and not just a chosen few. My goal is to teach newcomers how to win and to match every willing volunteer with a meaningful role that taps in to their gifts and talents.

Over the past several years we have all had enough with unconservative governing, embarrassing public antics, and the tendency to not fight when strong leadership is needed most. Under my principled leadership, the Luzerne County Republican Party will have a media presence that will not only make you proud, but it will attract conservative democrats and independents through consistency of values and fairness of our members. With team of integrity in place, I plan to restore the lost credibility that will help our candidates win on all levels of government, attract financial donors, and build our membership in every corner of Luzerne County.

Respectfully,

Harry

PS: The interim executive committee has discussed holding the county convention sometime in July. Per the bylaws, all committee members will receive a formal invitation in the mail with advanced notice.
